Applications are invited for the position of Educational Researcher in the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada. The full time position includes affiliation with the Wilson Centre for Research in Education.
The Educational Researcher will develop an independent research program in education and serve as a resource for advancing educational scholarship in the department. The successful candidate will be a scholar with expertise in educational research; s/he will have the breadth to catalyze research in all areas of education and be an effective teacher deeply committed to excellence in education. S/he must have the leadership qualities and skills necessary to serve a geographically dispersed department, while fostering an environment of cooperation and collaboration locally, nationally, and internationally.
The University of Toronto Academic Health Science Network is among the largest in North America. The Faculty of Medicine and its nine affiliated teaching hospitals generate in excess of $465 million dollars per annum in external research funds. The Faculty’s Department of Medicine is nationally pre-eminent and internationally competitive. The Educational Researcher must have the vision and ability to take the Department to a new level of international recognition and achievement.
