Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $248,000.00 Annually
Maximum $263,000.00 Annually
Job Summary
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of higher education administration, accreditation standards, and integration of academic and clinical programs.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, including planning, program oversight, and data-informed decision-making.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders and support shared governance.
- Demonstrated success in faculty and staff management, accreditation processes, and strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead faculty and staff development efforts across the full lifecycle, including recruitment, mentoring, evaluation, and retention.
- Ability to manage complex organizational dynamics, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Capacity to foster an inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with institutional mission and priorities.
- Ability to demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required. Residency trained and Board Certified in a medical or surgical specialty.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in medical education and/or clinical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced academic credentials preferred.
